Fossil Collection

Ammonites are possibly the most widely known fossil. These creatures lived in the seas between 240 - 65 million years ago.

The Fossil Collection mainly uses two different species of ammonites-

Crucilobiceras Densinodulum

These were found at Stonebarrow, Charmouth, Dorset. They are one of the most commonly found ammonites found at Charmouth and are about 196 million years old, early jurassic.

Promicroceras pyritosum

Also one of the most commonly found species at Charmouth,Dorset.

196 million years old, early jurassic.

I occasionally use a few other species in my jewellery collection -

Microderoceras inexpectans

Oxynoticeras lymense

(Both also found at Charmouth, Dorset, 196 million years old )

Quenstedoceras ( Found at Weymouth,Dorset, 150 million years old)
