Inspired by Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, this collection features ammonite-inspired designs, fossil textures, and naturally sculpted forms. Each handcrafted piece reflects the movement of the sea and the rich coastal heritage that makes this landscape so distinctive. Timeless jewellery shaped by shoreline textures and ancient forms.
Meet the maker
I’m Claire, the jeweller behind Wrixton Smyth Creations. I began making jewellery in 2009 and founded my business in 2017, creating nature-inspired pieces using traditional techniques and lost-wax casting.
My work is strongly influenced by the Jurassic Coast and Dorset countryside. Many designs are moulded from real natural objects — from fossil ammonites found on Charmouth beach to delicate fern fronds.
Each piece is carefully crafted in sterling silver or gold, capturing the small details and textures found in nature.
My aim is to make an item that reminds you of a special place or a happy memory, capturing all the fine details, that you can take with you wherever you go.

"I treated myself to a beautiful pendant of Colmers hill. It is so special to me. I love this area and so did my dad who sadly died earlier this year. It is so tactile and helps me feel close to Dad and the places in Dorset he loved. Thankyou so much

"Recently purchased 4 classic ammonite pendants and chains for my 4 sons who are all travelling far and wide and wanted them to wear something from home close to their hearts and these are perfect....so much so I bought another for my husband.
Claire’s Creations never fail to impress me and we now all have a piece of her jewellery which I’m sure shall be added to in the future"

"I recently purchased a unique pendant from Claire with one of her designs of Colmer's Hill, and I am delighted with it!I have certain connections with the hill, and live with a view of it 24/7 from home, so for someone to come up with a piece of jewelry that sums up the iconic beauty of Colmer's Hill, and is something I can wear around my neck, makes it very special to me, thank you Claire!
