How Its Made

Each piece is made by hand. Inspiration drawn from the Jurassic Coast and Dorset countryside — from ammonites found on local beaches to fronds, seed heads and shoreline textures.

HAND FORGING

Many designs are shaped using traditional silversmithing techniques, including sawing, hammering, forming and soldering. Working directly with the metal allows subtle textures and organic movement to emerge naturally.

MOULDED FROM NATURE

Many designs begin with a real object gathered from the Dorset coast and countryside — such as a fern, shell, ammonite or an insect that has died naturally. These are carefully moulded to capture their intricate detail before being cast into precious metal.

This process preserves the organic textures and forms of the original.

WAX CARVING & CASTING

Some pieces begin as hand-carved wax models. These are carefully sculpted before being cast into precious metal using the lost-wax casting process. This technique captures fine detail while preserving the character of the original form.

FINISHING & DETAILING

Each item is individually refined, polished and inspected by hand. Where required under UK law, pieces are hallmarked to confirm their precious metal content.

No two pieces are ever completely identical — slight variations are part of the beauty of handcrafted work.
